Mr P

We were instructed by Mr P after he developed asthma during the course of his employment as a general operative in a paint shop.

Mr P was exposed to powdered paint and paint fumes which contained substances hazardous to health as defined by the COSHH Regulations.

Mr P also sustained psychological injuries as a result of his disability.

The case was further complicated by the presence of multiple exposures to a variety of paints at different parts of the factory.

The claim was defended throughout, however, the legal team at Browell Smith & Co obtained supportive evidence from a consultant chest physician and occupational engineer and were able obtain settlement for Mr P for a sum close to £100,000.
