I am an experienced Paralegal and future Graduate Solicitor Apprentice within the Family Department. I have a wealth of experience dealing with all areas of family law.

I graduated from Newcastle University in 2017 following the completion of my law degree. Following my degree I spent some time at Sunderland Student Law Clinic under the supervision of a Solicitor and Deputy District Judge. I gave advice and assistance for free to local residents on divorce, finances, private law children matters and LPAs.

I then spent some time working as a Graduate Case Handler for one of the world’s largest commercial and retail banks. I predominantly responded to legal complaints regarding insurance mishandling.

Following on from this I began advising under a Civil Legal Advice (CLA) contract as a Family and Housing Legal Advisor. CLA is a national advice line paid for by the Legal Aid Agency. I gained experience advising on most aspects of Family and Housing law and become adept at assessing client’s entitlements to legal aid.

I have most recently worked for one the largest regional firms in the North East, where I gained invaluable experience working within a busy Family Law Department. I gained experience in both Public and Private Law children matters, Separation Agreements, Hague Proceedings, Domestic Abuse Protection, Local Authority Pre-proceedings, Matrimonial and Financial proceedings and much more.

I began working as a Paralegal at Browell Smith & Co Solicitors in July 2021. From September 2022, I will be among one of the first cohorts in the country to undertake a Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship with the view of qualifying as a Solicitor in the near future.
