Job Title: Accounts Clerk
Location: Annitsford
Responsible to: Accounts Supervisor

Overall Objectives of the Post:

The post holder under the supervision of the Accounts Supervisor will provide support for the Accounts Department as well as providing cover for Postroom and general office assistance. Such a role encompasses a broad range of tasks and requires commitment to team working, prioritisation of skills and flexibility.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounts
  • Provide accounts and clerical supervision to the Accounts department
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Undertake deliveries to the required destinations and carry out banking duties as required.
  • Nominal coding invoices.
  • Processing invoices/Disbursements.
  • Chip and pin payments
  • Banking
  • Accounts Admin Filing.
  • Taking accounts calls
  • File closure checklists
  • Providing cover for holiday in Accounts
  • Setting up damages and payments

 

Archiving
  • Updating archive details on the case management system
  • Retrieving files and Deeds from storage (both external via email and internal in person) upon request and distributing accordingly
